We are well-recognized for our award-winning developments and customer service, having overseen more than $300 million in capital projects, currently controlling $175 million in assets, and managing each project with an aim to improve customer and staff experience.
Len’s professional development includes extensive experience retail, residential and commercial development. Len’s involvement includes project development and management of hotels, restaurants, senior’s housing and commercial and residential construction on Vancouver Island. Since 1983, he has managed both residential and commercial rental properties with a portfolio of over 500 units. He is a past President of West Shore Chamber of Commerce. Len also lends himself to several community and industry organizations.
Patti brings over 25 years’ experience as an Executive Hospitality Consultant, whose prime focus has been in operations and sales management. As a successful negotiator of major contracts; her proven ability to customize one-on-one training programs; along with her detailed sales and marketing plans, Patti has shown continuous success in generating improved revenue, satisfaction scores and employee engagement. Working alongside Len and his teams, Patti has proven herself as an invaluable asset and has helped create many opportunities to grow and develop the business.
Stephen is an experienced and skilled General Manager with expertise in hotel management, beverage operations, vendor relations, profit and loss management and guest operations. Stephen has a proven background in improving operational turnaround. He is well recognized as an efficient Manager and team player who generates significant growth in hotel revenue and effectively motivates personnel to provide superior customer service.
Phil has worked in project financing and commercial lending for over 17 years. He has been involved in numerous residential, commercial, and mixed-use development real estate transactions throughout his career. Phil has an extensive background in analyzing and evaluating business plans to determine key risk and success factors. His immense experience in negotiating complex contractual arrangements enables him to focus on mutually beneficial outcomes for everyone involved. Phil is an effective communicator, speaking plainly through complex issues while drawing conclusions or framing problems in a succinct and articulate manner. A natural team leader, Phil has a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead small teams to higher performance levels. His mission is to provide the right tools and training that can raise the overall effectiveness of any organization.
Tom filled several administrative roles within our company before coming on as the Project Accountant. Tom has a BBA in Accounting from Camosun College and is currently working towards his CPA designation. He is responsible for producing and maintaining accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, project costs accounting and operating reports for hotels and restaurants within our portfolio. Tom has an eye for detail and works collaboratively as the financial manager with the operating management team.
Atasha has a passion for finance and accounting. She has recently completed her MBA in Finance from Vancouver Island University. She also holds a Master of Science – Finance and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Atasha is responsible for overseeing financial statements, budgets, and operating reports for hotels, restaurants, and liquor stores within our portfolio. She also has a keen eye for detail and is an invaluable member of our team. She has advanced our organization’s capacity with the development and implementation of more efficient technology and reporting structures.
Erin brings over 18 years of experience in bookkeeping to Metropolitan, having been with the company since 2011. She holds a diploma in Financial Management, Professional Accounting. Erin’s eye for detail and love of accuracy has made her an indispensable team member. She is responsible for producing as well as maintaining accurate, timely financial statements and operating reports for the real estate holdings and rental properties managed by Metropolitan Hospitality Management.
Krista has an entrepreneurial mindset and experience as a successful business owner. Krista is responsible for payroll and human resources support for all businesses. With her extensive bookkeeping experience and high proficiency for administration she also has oversight of the account’s payable operations for all companies managed by Metropolitan Hospitality Management. Krista also holds a bachelor’s degree in Phycology.
Steve works within our residential and commercial real estate management divisions. He manages over 300 residential and commercial units within our portfolio. Steve specializes in revenue management, maintenance issues and relations with third-party vendors and trades. He has extensive experience in the maintenance of large properties including hotels. Steve is responsible to ensure our properties are well-maintained, clean, and safe for our tenants. Steve loves his work and interaction with our clients. He is dedicated to the success and security of the properties he manages.
Yoshimi manages and oversees administrative duties and client relations at Coastal Offices – Colwood. She holds a diploma in Business Administration – Tourism Management from Camosun College along with more than 14 years of customer service and administrative experience in various roles in the hospitality industry. Yoshimi is professional who enjoys diverse experience and building relationships with clients.
