The principals of Metropolitan Capital Partners are committed to building healthy and vibrant communities. The following are some of the events we have, and continue to sponsor. 

EPILEPSY PLANE PULL

This one-day event sees adult teams of five raise funds in support of the Victoria Epilepsy and Parkinson's Centre Society (VEPC). Teams gather for a fun and engaging day of competition and camaraderie at the Viscount Aero- Centre, located near the Victoria International Airport. 

MONTE CARLO CASINO NIGHT

The Monte Carlo Casino Night, organized by Sidney by the Sea Rotary Club, has been held in the Viscount Aero- Centre aircraft hangar for three consecutive years. The Monte Carlo Casino Night features formal attire, games, music, live and silent auction, and ensures a good time for all. An average of $25,000 has been raised each year to benefit the North Saanich Family Bike Park.

VICTORIA AIR MUSEUM

Our event venue, Viscount Aero-Centre , responded to a need for the building and installation of hangar doors at the Victoria Aviation Museum. It donated $50,000. The new hangar doors ensured the continued safety and careful stewardship of their vintage aircraft and other prized objects in their collection.

SAANICH PENINSULA HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

The Sidney Pier Hotel hosted this 500-seat event featuring world-renowned Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo. Over $10,000 was raised to benefit the Sannich Peninsula Hospital Foundation.

SUNNY SHAMS CONCERT SERIES 2010 - HOSTED BY THE SIDNEY BY THE SEA ROTARY CLUB

This jazz and opera concert featuring local sensation Sunny Shams is designed around local Peninsula residents. Over two days, the Sunny Shams Concert Series welcomed more than 300 guests and raised $25,000 for local causes.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT - ECONOMICS OF SUCCESS

Junior Achievement, over the past 55 years, has inspired millions of young people to achieve their dreams. Students are encouraged to reflect on the advantages of formal education for acquiring the knowledge attitude and skills to undertake longer-term projects and pursue successful careers.

COPS FOR CANCER

Held at the Viscount Aero Centre and co-sponsored, the Rib Fest Cook-off attracted individuals, teams and executive chefs to a showcase event of specialty flavored ribs. Each rib was purchased from the registrants and voted on by the attendees/guests. The idea was to choose the rib with the best flavor. Over one thousand guests attended this one-day event, and proceeds went to the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock.

GREEN PARTY ELECTION NIGHT

The Viscount Aero Centre donated the aircraft hangar to host the 2011 Green Party election night celebration. Televised nationally, the evening saw Canada's first Green Party candidate elected as MP and attracted over 800 supporters.
